  • What is Hemp and CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a chemical compound that comes from the hemp plant. There are 113 unique compounds found in hemp known as cannabinoids, of which, CBD is one of the most abundant compounds. Cannabinoids can be either consumed (phytocannabinoids) or produced naturally by the body (endocannabinoid). They are chemical compounds that interact with the body’s central regulatory system.
  • How does CBD work in the body, and what is The Endocannabinoid System?"
CBD derived from hemp is a phytocannabinoid, of which there are 113 cannabinoids. Although our bodies can naturally produce their own endocannabinoids that bind to cannabinoid receptors in both the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, phytocannabinoids are known to help to boost the function of our central regulatory system. The endocannabinoid system is a complex biological system in the human body. Medical researchers discovered it in the 1990s, but much is still unknown about how it works and its interactions. The endocannabinoid system has three components: receptors, enzymes, and endocannabinoids. These parts function regardless of whether someone uses CBD or not. Here is an overview of each component: Receptors exist throughout the body and are a substance to which endocannabinoids bind; Enzymes appear in many forms, but only two types of enzymes break down endocannabinoids; and Endocannabinoids complement the body by keeping internal functions running smoothly.
  • Will hemp products get me high?
Despite the scientific name cannabis sativa, hemp has a maximum level of 0.3% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Compare that to medical cannabis, which can have up to 30% THC. Hemp also has a high cannabidiol content that acts as THC’s antagonist, essentially making the possible minimal amount of THC useless. You may you to consume these products while maintaining a clear mind.
  • I see hemp CBD products everywhere! What sets your products apart from the rest?
Not all hemp products are created equal. The hemp CBD market is unregulated, meaning companies can say whatever they want. Before we started CannaKoru, our doctors were approached by multiple companies who stated they had the best "Full Spectrum" hemp CBD products, only to find out when looking at their lab results that they were using CBD isolates, or were extracting their hemp using harsh solvents, like butane. Harsh extraction methods strip hemp of it's full cannabinoid and terpene profile, and it's the cannabinoids and terpenes that contain most of the compounds, such as CBN, CBC, CBG, CBDA, and CBDV. These cannabinoids are not psychoactive and are being extensively studied scientifically for a wide variety of applications. Our true Full Spectrum hemp products are organically grown and extracted by the very PhD botanists who not only helped map the cannabis genome, but who also developed a proprietary solventless extraction method that preserves the trichomes of the hemp plant. The hemp for our products are grown on a regenerative, pesticide-free farm, and are made in small batches, ensuring you have the most pure hemp products available.
  • How is your hemp farmed?
HIGH INTENSITY PESTICIDE-FREE AGRICULTURE CannaKoru uses only pesticide-free and organic growing practices ensuring a pure extract of the highest quality. Our farmers utilize high yield cultivation practices that blend organic horticultural and agricultural methodologies. All of our hemp is grown at the base of the Rocky Mountains where we irrigate with only glacier and snowpack melt water. Our high potency hemp flower is grown only to a scale that allows for proper drying and processing of flower, unlike many larger hemp farms which field dry or wet bail lower quality biomass.
  • Are your products gluten-free?
Yes, all our products are gluten-free.
  • Is it possible to fail a drug test when consuming full spectrum hemp products?
It is possible to fail a drug test when you are consuming Full Spectrum Hemp Extract. All of our products contain trace amounts of THC (below 0.3%) that can build up in your system over time and cause a failed drug test.
  • Can you ship hemp products to my state?
Yes. We ship our hemp products to all 50 states. The United States Farm Bill of 2014 (and the revised 2018 Farm Bill) classified industrial hemp as containing less than 0.3% THC. Because our lab tested products contain less than 0.3% THC, we are allowed by U.S. Federal law to conveniently ship to your doorstep. However, it is the responsibility of the customer to know and follow the laws and regulations regarding shipment of hemp oils to your state.
